We are situated in West Cornwall on the outskirts
of Carleen 3 miles North West of the historic town
of Helston famous for the Fury dance.
The area is known as Wheal Vor named after its
tin mine. We purchased Chy-an-Besow a 22 acre
smallholding in 2005 which had been left to
over grow with gorse and brambles. With help from
our son we have now cleared the land and laid it
to pasture.
At present we keep a 2,000 free range laying hens,
9 breeding sows of which 5 are rare bred, 1 boar,
23 rare breed sheep and 4 Aberdeen Angus cattle.
